Funerals

"I am the resurrection and the life" says the Lord, "The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die." (John 11:25)

Jesus spoke these words to the grieving sister of Lazarus, a few days after her brother had died. The Christian hope of eternal life lies in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus. Through his resurrection, he is able to offer real hope of life beyond death for those who accept his invitation to trust in him.

At St Peter's Church we are able to conduct a Christian funeral, and to offer burial in our churchyard - either by interring of ashes or full burial.
If you have recently lost a loved one, or are planning for your own funeral, then please don't hesitate to contact me on 01737 352849.
