Come and see (John 1.46)

Funerals

‘I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.'

(John 11:25)

Jesus spoke these words to the grieving sister of Lazarus, a few days after her brother had died. Jesus himself died and rose again on the third day. The Christian hope of eternal life lies in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus.

We can conduct a Christian funeral and offer a full burial or internement of ashes in our churchyard for Woodmansterne residents or those with a family connection with St Peter's'.

The Church of England provides useful resources here.

To help you consider your own funeral, please see here.

On All Saints Day we hold a service called 'A Time to Remember' where we give thanks for the lives of all those who have died.

If you have recently lost a loved one, or are planning to have their ashes interred in the churchyard, please contact us on 01737 423892 or email office@saintpeterschurch.org.uk
