Giving

Psalms 24:1 says, "The earth is the Lord's and all that is in it, the world, and those who live in it." We believe that God is the ultimate owner of all things - the earth, ourselves, and 'our' possessions. St Peter's ministry is enabled and sustained by the generosity of members with their time, skills and money. We encourage everyone to count their blessings and then consider how much of themselves they can give to further God's purposes. It is your personal choice.

To make it possible for the church to plan activities, we request all to give regularly through the Parish Giving Scheme or bank standing order. Other options are ddescribed below. Our church treasurer Alan Carter (alan.65.carter@gmail.com) would be delighted to discuss options with you. All giving is highly confidential.

Parish Giving Scheme

The Parish Giving Scheme (PGS) is used by many churches across the country, it is a safe and secure method of making regular and one-off donations to St Peter's.  We encourage people to use this method of giving as PGS is able to claim the Gift-Aid and in addition it reduces our paperwork and helps with financial adminstration.  To find out more visit the St Peter's page on the PGS website by clicking on the link http://parishgiving.org.uk/donors/find-your-parish/woodmansterne-st-peter-banstead/

Envelope Scheme

We have yellow envelopes available in church for one-off gifts.  If you are a UK tax-payer these envelopes can be used to claim Gift-Aid.

One-off Gift

If you would like to make a one-off gift, please put your cash or cheque donation in an envelope and place it in the collection tray. Alternatively, you can post your gift to the church office, marked for the attention of the Treasurer.

How to help us to maximise your gift

If you are a UK taxpayer, then it is likely that we will be able to recover an extra 25p from every £1 that you give, at no extra cost to yourself. To do this we must hold a valid Gift Aid Declaration. If we do not already hold a current Gift Aid Declaration, please obtain one here and return it with your gift.

Legacy Giving

Leaving a gift to St Peter's in your Will would be hugely appreciated and also make a huge difference in the ministry of the church. To find out more then please contact the Treasurer
